Three persons were killed and 25 others injured when the overloaded jeep they were travelling in skidded off in a Khud along the road in the Pali district on Monday.
The ill-fated jeep was heading for Bali in the Pali district after one of its wheels detached and the imbalanced vehicle skidded off the road. The jeep was carrying a group of 28 people from Panchbor Sayra village of Udaipur to Bali in the Pali district to attend a condolence meeting. The accident took place near Kundal village in Bali region around 12:00-noon.

Onlookers called the police and the ambulances to take the injured to a hospital in Bali. Twelve of the injured were referred to the Higher Center Hospital, the police said.

The Station House Officer of Kundal Police Station, Parvat Singh Bhati, said that the number of passengers in the jeep was much more beyond its capacity, hence, due legal action would be taken against the driver/owner.
